Pricing questions
Is File Converts really free?
Yes. Every in-browser tool — PDF, image, audio/video, OCR and more — is free and unlimited, with no sign-up, because the conversion runs on your own device. Paid plans add more server credits, larger server uploads and higher daily limits.
What are credits?
Credits are used only for server-side conversions (e.g. PDF → Excel/PowerPoint and EPS). AI tools run in your browser and never use them. Each plan includes a monthly allowance. In-browser conversions never use credits.
Do I need a paid plan?
Only if you need more server conversions than the free allowance (20 credits a month), server uploads over 100 MB, or higher daily limits. For everyday PDF, image, and document conversion, the free in-browser tools are all you need.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no long-term contract: email hello@file-converts.com and we'll end your plan at the close of the current billing period.
