Each PDF page becomes one slide. The page is rendered at high resolution and placed on the slide, which means the result looks right immediately and is editable in the sense that matters — you can reorder, delete, duplicate and add slides, and build new content around them. It does not decompose a page back into separate text boxes and shapes; that information was discarded when the PDF was written, and any tool claiming otherwise is guessing at it.
Rendering every page at presentation resolution is heavy work, so this runs on our server: the file is uploaded securely, converted, and deleted afterwards. Uploads are capped at 200 MB (100 MB without an account). If you need the text rather than the layout, PDF to Word or PDF to Text will serve you better.
